My Voice
The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled. ~ Plutarch
One of the ways in which my voice finds its expression is through writing. Something I read, a programme on TV, a comment on the radio, observing the cycles of nature – all these things and more lead me to make connections and ponder ideas, which I then feel an urge to write about.
So these articles are the result of my ponderings and urges. They are my philosophies, thoughts, opinions and experiences. They are my gift to you, the reader. You may agree with my ponderings or you may not. You may well have different thoughts, philosophies and opinions based on your own experiences. And that is just fine, in fact it is a wonderful thing.
My intention and desire in sharing my writing with you is that my words may uplift and inspire you, but most importantly that they spark your own thoughts, even if those thoughts are in vehement disagreement to mine.
It’s not important to me that you agree with anything I write. It is important to me that you are inspired to think, ponder and reflect for yourself. Hence the quote from Plutarch.
