Tina Bettison: Inspiration for Hungry Souls

finding my own voice and helping you find yours

Your Voice

The joy and the opportunity of the internet is that it provides us with a mouthpiece and a platform for our own voice. It actually doesn’t matter how big your audience is; what matters is that the people who need and want to hear your voice can hear it. What I have to say, what you have to say, my story, your story is not going to appeal to everyone. It doesn’t need to. It only needs to be out there for the one, the ten or the millions that will take what they need from it – inspiration perhaps, hope, comfort, encouragement…

Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love sharing her story at TED

Tell me, have you gained most of your inspiration, hope, comfort, encouragement, prompt to action etc from hearing or reading someone’s story or their thoughts? Weren’t your thoughts stirred with ‘I could do that’? ‘Thank God, I am not alone?’ ‘If they can do it, so can I?’ Isn’t that how it happens? Something we read or hear or see prompts us to think or do?

This is why it is so important that you find and share your own voice and your story. Someone is waiting to hear it. Someone, not everyone, but someone is waiting for inspiration, for hope, for comfort, for encouragement, for their prompt to action or for the spark that ignites their fire. And your story might be their source. Please don’t keep it to yourself. Share it. To be seen and not heard is one of those weeds that needs to go on the compost of our existence.

There are many ways to express your voice once you have found it:

In person: presentations, speaking opportunities, interviews, tele-seminars, webinars, podcasts, radio and TV appearances

In print: your website, your blog, your newsletter, your articles, interviews, write-ups in magazines and local or national news

In social media: facebook, twitter, online business networks (e.g. LinkedIn), online niche networks (e.g. mumsnet)

So what I would like to offer is this:

If you want to find your voice and find how best to express your story, I’ll help you.

If you want to be able to stand up in front of a group of people and tell your story, I’ll help you craft your presentation and your confidence to deliver it.

If you want to be a confident and articulate interviewee for radio, TV, YouTube video or in print, I’ll help you hone those skills and your comfort level.

If you want to get better at telling your story and expressing your voice through a newsletter, or a blog, on your website or by writing articles, then I’ll help you craft your words and find the best channel for your particular self-expression.

Just get in touch tina@tinabettison.com and we’ll have a chat about you.
